In honor of Green Friday and my Birthday I will be discussing something very near and dear to my heart, GIFTS!! Yipeee!! I Love gifts, getting them mostly, but I do like to give them as well.

For my Birthday this year I received something that has brought me to the brink of technology. I am now in my mid-30's (Blue thinks I turned half-a-million-years-old today, must be nice to be 5!!) and I feel the need to stay hip and current with the trends. My hubz got me an I-Pod. I think its the same as an MP3 player, but I am not really sure. I know it plays music and maybe I can watch videos as it has a screen. I know nothing about it, but I think it has earphones. It seems everyone has one, but for some reason I just recently discovered this little thing. So in my efforts to stay current (how long have they been around??) I just had to have one. I have finally leaped out of the 90's. I guess I can retire my Doc Martens now.

How does this tie into Green Friday you ask?? Well, first off my husband bought it and refused a plastic bag!! He simply carried it out of the store (with his receipt of course) and told the girl he did not need a bag, its as if he knows!! Also instead of having bunches of cd's around with all that excess packaging and such. I'll simply be able to have everything on my I-Pod thingy. That means less waste and less cd's to get scratched or sticky from little hands.

Now hopefully the feds won't be coming to my house for getting music off the computer, cause I'm not really sure how all that works. I know you can pay, and there are places where you don't. I am not sure how all that works, I guess I'll have to ask one of the kids at work, those college kids are all over these things. If you have any info, please help a sister out!!
